Le Phare du Petit Minou (France) is a classic tower with a balcony, located on a cliff edge, at the exit from the harbor of Brest. A stone-paved road and a bridge lead to the structure, the arches of which look fabulous in the rays of the setting sun. The road to du Petit Mines winds between picturesque Breton villages and green fields. Within walking distance there is a restaurant and public baths. Surfers catch a wave in the neighboring lagoon.

The lighthouse serves to show the safe route for ships following to the raid. In bad weather, it sends out a red light, marking the danger zone of the underwater cliffs around the les Fillettes plateau. Les Fillettes means “girls” in French. Locals joke that when approaching the girls, Phare du Petit Minou is embarrassed and blushes.
